Mhb tours India with it’s original line up!! We are very excited to announce that Mr Javed Bashir, Mr Muhammad Ahsan Papu and Mekaal are touring extensively in India and Mekaal Hasan Band’s long awaited tour of India kicks on 17th December with NDTV in Gurgaon.

The Gibson Interview: Mekaal Hasan

Formed in 2001 in Lahore, Pakistan, The Mekaal Hasan Band is one of those bands who have stood the test of time. Audiences around the world have enjoyed their distinct-sounding music, which blends classical sangeet, jazz and Sufi rock. Both of MHB’s studio albums – Samporan (2004) and Saptak (2009) – received a great response, and they will soon be coming out with a new album titled Andholan.

Mekaal Hasan Band played their 1st Canadian show at Mississauga

Mekaal Hasan Band played their 1st Canadian show at Mississauga for the Telus Mosaic Festival 2010. The next stop was the Quebec City Summer Festival where Mekaal Hasan was a featured guest soloist on Josh’s maiden appearance on the festival, with heavyweights Iron Maiden, Santana, Rush and Black Eyed Peas.
