MHB’s Special Unplugged Show

Mekaal Hasan Band will be playing at Asia Society, New York on 22nd July,2010 at a Special Unplugged Show.

Mekaal Hasan Band played their 1st Canadian show at Mississauga for the Telus Mosaic Festival 2010. The next stop was the Quebec City Summer Festival where Mekaal Hasan was a featured guest soloist on Josh’s maiden appearance on the festival, with heavyweights Iron Maiden, Santana, Rush and Black Eyed Peas. “Pakistan in Paris” festival and more updates

Mekaal Hasan Band is performing at the ‘Pakistan in Paris’ festival being held in Paris. MHB will be the main act on 29th April as they take the stage for what is bound to be a meticulous performance. The tour is arranged in collaboration with Alliance Francaise Pakistan and is designed to showcase the best from Pakistan. MHB are appearing courtesy Pakistan International Airlines as cultural ambassadors for PIA. Following Paris, MHB is poised to tour Bangladesh for a series of concerts in end May leading to their trip to USA in June. MHB is expected to play a show at the UN Headquarters in New York and follow that up with a performance in Central Park, later traveling to Washington DC at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Hussain Haqqani, our Ambassador to the USA. They are then slotted to appear for a series of concerts in Toronto and open the Mosaic Music Festival in July.

The current band lineup is Mekaal Hasan – guitars, Muhammad Ahsan – flutes, Fahad Khan – drums, Amir Azhar – bass and mandolin, Asad Abbas – vocals.
